about
One year ago, a group of friend's went to Joshua Tree to write, record and film a video for one song. "Take It Easy" is a story of letting go, breaking old habits, and settling into peace. A lo-fi groove, lilting vocals, and soaring guitar solo provide the perfect soundtrack for a drive through the desert. Erin is invigorated in this new sonic space, making desert music for city people.
lyrics
Just another LA evening
Hollywood hills and high tide
Another unsettled feeling
Lighting a fire from the inside
I could let it go
Take it easy
Breathing on my own
Let it leave me
I could let it go
Take it easy
Take it easy
Just another sports car speeding
Laurel Canyon through a yellow light
I don’t have to give this meaning
Driving west into an orange night
I could let it go
Take it easy
Breathing on my own
Let it leave me
I could let it go
Take it easy
Take it easy
Spinning out let the tears dry
Pacific horizon in my eyes
I am here, I am alright
I am alright
I could let it go
Take it easy
Breathing on my own
Let it leave me
I could let it go
Take it easy
Take it easy
